POC INSULIN KIT
POC Insulin Kit 'LIV+'
This product is the result of a group design project with two fellow students. The project involved creating a conceptual product for an inspirational company; the outcome had to be something that wasn't currently produced by the company.
The result of this collaborative project is the POC LIV+ which is a portable yet robust insulin kit for an individual with Type 1 Diabetes. It is designed to remove the stigma and boundaries associated with diabetes.
The product has an inflatable inner designed to prevent rattles whilst keeping the internal kit safe. The air used to inflate the inner comes from the space within the lid. When the air is taken from this area a vacuum is formed creating a seal around the lid.
LOWE ALPINE QUICK RELEASE STERNUM STRAP
This was a live project in conjunction with Lowe Alpine. The brief was to design a new dual use component that could be integrated into one of their packs.
The design uses a pull to release style mechanism with magnets being the retention system. The product also functions as a light in low light situations.
